Be wrong

Following links on the web today, I ended over this presentation given at TED by Sir Ken Robinson (you’re allowed to search on Google, I didn’t know him).
From the page: “he makes an entertaining (and profoundly moving) case for creating an education system that nurtures creativity, rather than undermining it.”
The whole video is here.
My favourite quote:

“[…] but what we do know is, if you’re not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything original”.

That made me think. I am, after all, scared to be wrong.

Sysinternals bought by Microsoft

Still can’t decide if this is good news or not: as Mark wrote on his blog

I’m joining Microsoft as a technical fellow in the Platform and Services Division, which is the division that includes the Core Operating Systems Division, Windows Client and Windows Live, and Windows Server and Tools.

so maybe he’ll be able to expand his vision to a broader line of Microsoft products.
On the other side, I’m worried as all the other users that this

As for Sysinternals, the site will remain for the time being while Microsoft determines the best way to integrate it into its own community efforts, and the tools will continue to be free to download.

means “download all the tools you may be interested in, before it’s too late”.
The acquisition FAQ is here.

As a sidenote, I’d like to remember that Mark was the first to discover the famous Sony rootkit on October 2005 and reported about it in his blog.
Speaking of conspiracy, can it be that Sony is looking for revenge and turned to Microsoft for help? Who knows… :)

Anyway, congrats to Mark and Bryce.
