Per quelli che come me hanno sulla scrivania un certo numero di macchine e alcuni monitor attaccati: ho appena scoperto Synergy e (per OSX) QuickSinergy. In pratica, vi permette di utilizzare una sola coppia tastiera/mouse per tutte le macchine a cui avete attaccato un monitor in vista. Al momento l’ho provato con OsX e WinXP e se la cava egregiamente. L’effetto che si ottiene e` questo: la macchina “server” e` quella su cui tenete le mani, all’avvio di sinergy gli dite in quale direzione (sopra,sotto, sinistra, destra) si trovano le altre macchine specificando il nome.
Dopo di che avviate il client su queste altre macchine dando il nome/ip del “server”. Se tutto va a buon fine, spostando il cursore fuori dal desktop della macchina su cui avete le mani questo comincia a muoversi sul desktop del pc vicino.
Ovviamente, visto che va su TCP/IP, dovrete aprire la porta relativa sul firewall interessato dal traffico: di default e` la 24800.
Se avete accanto altre piattaforme per test/sviluppo/motivi vari e` di una comodita` immensa.
