Going back and forth between systems, I wrote many times /usr/local/etc/rc.d, /etc/rc3.d, /etc/rc.conf and so on. As time passed, I felt more and more the urge to know: why “rc“?

Well, just to let you know that the new version of the client for the Joost service is out.
Being in the beta since 0.7.x, I have to say it has always been getting better at each minor and major release, and this one is no exception (tested on Mac/Intel 10.4.9, Windows later).
As the others, it’s a beta: it could kill the cat or your sex life.
Or both.
Provided you have at least one of them.

Anyway, I never experienced any problems, so I feel confident there will be none.

*UPDATE* April 11th: I just received an email saying that 0.9.2 is available, and considering that I’ve never seen two minor releases coming out in a week, I’ll keep my mouth shut next time. :)
